Is there a difference between a woman having a list of requirements vs a man asking himself what a woman brings to the table?

Ugh. This topic turned into the ugliest locked thread last fall.

What do you have to offer me?

Whenever people list requirements, people of the opposite sex that don't meet said requirements get butt hurt and lash out. This thread will get salty quick

I'd never heard the "bring to the table" thing 'til I joined this forum. In my experience, no one talks like that IRL.

No. It's a figure of speech. They're the same thing. A set of standards a person has for who they'll date.

Yes, because one is more likely to be formally brought up (especially in the case of OLD).

If you're just talking about what's going on in one's head, then no, there isn't.

I hear it all the time, and occasionally use it.

I can't say I've heard of "bring to the table" before here either.

I was given a list of five questions recently. I forget some, but one was "do you like kids", that's fair enough, some kids are good, others aren't. I mean, that's obvious.

Do you have a chin under that beard? -> Huh? I think so? My jawbone is intact.

What do you think of being asked to do manly things like change the oil? -> Ok, I was like GT*OOH at that point and said, se you later.

Lists are idiotic. These people fail at life.

Guys don't say stuff like that to me. I also don't really have a list of requirements because I don't really care to date.

Thread after thread Ruth has never seen or heard a lot of things IRL. Normally, it's negative portrayals of women she's never seen.

I call malarkey
