I think the major problem that these guys have is that the (vast?) majority of women prefer to not initiate and wait for the guy to make the first move, and there are some guys who don't like making the first move and are paying the consequence of being a man and not being "normal" in these situations. Which it both is and isn't there fault, and they are probably jealous and also angry that women can be like this because there are a lot of men who are "thirsty" and will chase all day, so the woman can just sit back and wait.
There are women who don't get approached as often and complain, but I find those women few and far between. Most women find someone while there are a lot of men who do not.

He didn't say that men have it harder. He's just explaining this aspect of it. I agree that it's hard for men that aren't comfortable going after what they want when it comes to dating. But I'm not sure that I would say that men have it harder. And since some men like initiating - you could say that those men don't have it hard at all. The ease or difficulty that one has with dating isn't dependent on gender - it's dependent on a lot of factors.

Isn't the gender ratio among the population fairly close to 1:1?
If it is, shouldn't the number of women finding someone be roughly equivalent to the number of men doing the same? Or are there just a vast amount of same-sex female partnerships skewing the numbers?

I've always found this a bit baffling, too - but some men on here claim that many women "share" the same men.
Look your not changing my mind or any mans mind that deals with this, so say what you want because I know its not true.
So, let me see if I have this right -
You don't want to ask women out. Women don't ask you out. You aren't willing to change anything. Therefore, men have it harder and it's the fault of women. Therefore, you are going to be mean to all women. And nothing is going to change your mind.

Women pursue the same men. I constantly have women interested in me. At the same time, most men don't get laid unless it's in a relationship. A higher percentage of women date around and have casual sex than men.
Ah, that's right-- 80% of women going after the same 20% of men or some sort of thing.
Silly me to forget that.
LOL, yep...which kinda makes marriage statistics all the more baffling...since in heterosexual pairings, the same total amount of women and men are married at any given time.
So...hmmm.
Unless everybody's lying and these are all FLDS-style marriages something?
BTW, marriage rates are still greater than 50%, all least in the U.S...
But uh...yay, 80/20 rule! You never fail! Well, except when you do.
Oh sigh. The 80/20 rule is like that one theory about how no matter what the original subject of an internet debate was, Hitler will be brought into it. In this case, no matter what the relationship complaint issue is, the 80/20 rule will rear it's inaccurate head.
Why do people have to get nasty? Breathe. This is nothing to get worked up over.
The only ones getting worked up over it are those it applies to.
