This woman on OKC said she has a no phone call rule until she meets face to face? (dating, sociopaths)

I never met anyone this way before but since she is attractive I will give it a try and see how it turns out. But usually I am not a fan of meeting someone before confirming that it's a member of the opposite sex. Well we exchanged about 4 messages before I suggested the phone and that's when she told me the phone rule. So I will try to meet her on saturday afternoon to see how we communicate face to face.

Part of me doesn't expect this to go well at all. lol

I wouldn't read too much into it- some people just don't like giving their phone number to people they haven't met.

Meet in a public place, where you can make a quick getaway if she isn't who her pictures portray.

Assuming she has a smartphone, she can download an app called "TextFree", then create an entirely different phone number that isn't her main one.

Either way, it shouldn't matter. Generally speaking, when I get the numbers of women off dating apps/sites, I never call, but just text.

So much apprehension about phone numbers, maybe I'm naive. When a guy continued to try to text or call after I had explained that I didn't think we'd work out (I was trying to be nice, he turned out to be really possessive after one 'date') I just blocked his number from reaching me. That only happened one time though, I don't think the majority of men out there are stalkers or sociopaths.
