I was going to say the same. On paper all three sound kind of boring and all three have enough deal breakers for me that I wouldn't be interested.

#1 Has in his favor that he's smart and curious (I like that). But deal breakers are he Lives downtown (I hate going into the city) and he's negative, cynical, and political. Not my type. No thanks.

#2 Is geeky and funny and self motivated but deal breakers are the city (again) and he's unfocused (what's with all the activities, when will he have time for a relationship?) and he's obnoxious. Again, not my type. No thanks.

#3 Starts off good. Not in the city! Yeah! And he's smart and down to earth. Witty too. But he's fashionable? I'm guessing that means metrosexual. Big turn off for me. Hobbies, if a reflection of personality, add more to the whole metro feel and that kind of man just isn't my type. We have little in common. No thanks.

My type is my boyfriend. 5'8" with a husky build and dark blond crewcut hair with a full beard that he keeps neatly trimmed. Lives in the country, owns his own company that he built from the ground up. He is a bit of a workaholic, but always makes time for the people he loves. Speaks German from his time in the military and likes beer and steak, maybe a little too much because he's overweight. Travels via road trip or flies first class (and takes me with him). Is very intelligent, witty, and wise. Loves to talk about science and history. Goes to museums and gun shows and loves the beach. Close to his family. Also very kind the type of guy who helps out strangers with no expectation of being "paid back." Everyone loves him because he's just a darn good guy. My boyfriend is awesome! Okay, brag time over.

The third guy stands out to me because of his interest in music. I love music. But it also sounds like he might be too fancy for me. I’m not fancy. I would have to meet them in person and get to know them better to make the best choice. Then again, why choose? Can’t we date all three?
One-by-one or all at the same time on a rotational basis?

How is it that the 34-year-old "innovative" programmer only makes $55K? The 30-year-old Indian H-1B contractors make more than that.

None of the above.

I don't know any human being with that many hobbies/interests, so the profiles sound fake to me anyway.

If I were dating, none of the guys would really be my type. #1 is too negative, #2 too directionless/immature, #3 too introverted for me.

Actually I would probably hang out with #2, but not date him.

Haha! One at a time until I knew which one I liked best.

Definitely not #1 since he's cynical... Would have to date #2 and #3 to narrow down my answer.

Author clearly wants you to select #3. He skews him taller, richer, better employed, better housed, more positive and socially acceptable.
