What does that have to do with this thread? I'm addressing the situation that is the subject of the thread, and the responses indicating men are getting "tricked" and forced to support a child they didn't want. It's no trick if one doesn't want to make a baby.
+1.
The posts in this thread are laughable.
What are these people, 12 years old?
"Poor me. I was tricked. I didn't protect myself but I was tricked!" Lol.
Uh-oh. Did I upset your man-hating feminist senses?
Sorry to shatter your myopic narrow view of life but there's some seriously messed up people out there. Male AND, shock horror, female.
I don't hate men at all. Telling a woman she's upset because she disagrees with you is the bizare routine of misogynists.
The turkey baster legend goes back quite a few decades though, and explains your view. Your comments are indicative of one who also agrees that men are getting tricked into making babies, with no control of the outcome. I'm not giving my view of life-- just responding to helpless people who want to be viewed as unwilling victims, when there's a very obvious way of preventing the situation.
Im on my 6th year of college and expect a 100k+ job within the next 18 months. As risky as it is, ive had unprotected sex many many times in my life, but this time was different, she went out of her way to not use it.
Does she know that you will be making 100k ? Its obvious what she is doing . You would have to pay 20% of take home pay in child support , possibly 1300 per month and that's for only one child. If I were a man making a large income today ? I would wait until I was married . If you cannot control yourself then stay away from her.
But I'm glad someone has finally brought this up. Being responsible for your OWN body! Ladies - you are responsible for your own bodies! If you don't want to get pregnant, either take the pill or don't have sex!

Oh I don't know. You brought it up.

So now men must have vasectomies and take responsibilities for their own bodies. Well yes, especially in the first days of dating when we are not sure that she is on the pill but then why wouldn't she be? She is also dating! She is also having sex.
But I do agree with you - We can and should take responsibility for our own bodies. Men and women alike.
In the case of the OP, he knew she was wanting to get pregnant by stopping him from using a spoiler. Warning bells! He knew that he was relying on spoilers or withdrawal to prevent pregnancy.
In no way am I condoning what he did (but I did also make those same mistakes). At some point he must surely have talked about contraception with her. He also knew he wasn't the only guy she was sleeping with.
I didn't bring up anyone's wife, or rabbit trail into sperm donors and meal tickets. The argument of being tricked is ridiculous and without logic. My point is: The thread is about a woman supposedly trying to get pregnant. I am saying its irrefutable that she cant get pregnant BY him, WITHOUT him. That is how obvious the solution is.
