I'm sure I may get some hate on this but its the way I feel when it comes to dating and people in general
On first dates is it actually rude to ask the other person what they have to bring to the table or offer to your relationship with them as an adult?

Meaning for a woman what does she really have to offer?
For friends same thing goes for me
I want to know what do they have that I need them in my life otherwise I'm just wasting time with them

Yes. It's rude for either to ask that question. There's no way anyone is going to respond positively to that.

It makes you sound arrogant.

It's not a job interview, though. There are ways to find out the answers to that question without directly asking it.

This infamous thread dealt with this topic and got closed, with posters getting banned etc. So tread carefully.

I'm going to guess you're very single and have no friends.

Out of curiosity what do you offer women and friends that's so special?
