I figured the tip jar BS was telling something about this woman, and looka here I was correct.
I don’t care if they knew each other, she was completely out of line on the tip jar BS. You don’t tell someone else what to do with THEIR money, bottom line.

The fact that you have known each other for some time puts an entirely different slant on the tips thread. There, people piled on about the woman meeting you, her date, for the very first time, but bossing you around. And you did not correct a single soul.
OP you want to talk about how it wasn't just a one time meeting, you've known her for years (and played board games!) so the reader will be mad at Tip Jar Lady, too.
Then when pointed out you didn't mention that last time, you backtrack to not really knowing her, that's why you didn't mention it.
You don't get to have it both ways. It also has nothing to do with how much you hate online dating. BTW, that doesn't mean "online dates". It means meeting people that way...there's a strange tendency for you to bash OLD. "That horrible OLD wins against Organic Dating again!" It's not the way you met that matters.
In your last thread: Texting Between, after Tip Jar Lady, I asked why are you asking a question you can answer, do you text between dates? You didn't answer. Maybe you're spending too much time in the wonderment of it all, and should have paid more attention to her? Did you communicate since last time? You didn't mention any of it.
She made up an excuse instead of telling you she's not feeling it.
I guess that's better than getting ghosted, anyway.

You mean it's a complete lie that she said she decided to make things work with the depressed guy? Also, why would you spend 5 hours with someone on a date that could have ended much sooner?
She was the one that wanted to spend more time with me than I had anticipated. I do recall her saying, when she flew to meet that guy initially, and when I asked her why would she even want to do the LDR thing, that she wanted a reason to get out of the area for the summer. A reason to take a vacation away from here.

Yes we had communicated between dates. Not sure what you mean by me asking a question I can already answer.

Because you would know if you text between dates and if it's a good idea for you, if you don't communicate between dates and this is the result, then you might try something different. We can only make suggestions based on the information given or not given.
Ok, so she wasn't lying, she wants to get out of the area, like she previously stated. There you go.
To be honest, I think me having known her and the tip jar scenario would not have made a lick of difference.
the
I would hope not. And if it did I guess she is miss america
