Nobody needs to tell anyone anything of the sort. Why complicate the other person's life, and their own, by clogging both up with awkward and often unwelcome feelings? Keep that stuff to yourself until you get over it, then it won't even be worth talking about.

Feb 14th or not, I couldn't and wouldn't make any kind of move if you put a gun to my head. Even if it worked out well for a while, I'd be counting down until it all imploded.

My eyes tear up when I think about how many shoes, coats and blankets that money could buy for needy children and how many utility bills could be paid for the elderly who need basic financial support.

That's a REALLY good idea, and it could take off.

Eat a simple, lovely meal for Valentines with your friends/sweetheart, and donate what you usually spend to the charity of your choice. Big Heart Day.
