In fact, a 33 y/o dating a 18 y/o is more unequal since there is a level of maturity and exploration that has yet to be established.. irregardless of gender. At 33 and 43 people generally have a good idea of what they want out of a partner.
OP, go for it. There are many other factors (goals, intent, feelings, intimacy, maturity, common interests etc) that are far more important than age.
