Just wondering...

If you know nothing about a subject, are you secure enough to admit it or do you feel the overwhelming need to try to be an expert at all cost? Will you be the "expert" to stroke your ego or are you able to learn from someone else?

On discussions Ill admit I dont know and learn from what others say so I can be the expert next time lol (joking) but seriously I dont have a problem admitting I dont know. Ive seen people BS their way through stuff and Ive called them on it lol its ok to not know everything. However I will admit I usally walk in front and lead the way, even when I have NO idea where Im going lol dont know why lol

Me neither...it is more fun to be quiet and learn something new to take with you along the way...I will speak up when I know the facts other wise I hate looking foolish...

There are several posters on CD who are basic know-it-alls! They have life figured out and all things surrounding. It drives me crazy because I feel like I keep my mind open enough to allow myself to learn something new everyday. Learning is key and its always the people who think they know or think they have all the answers that end up looking like jack*sses because they want to show off or want to seem intelligent!
As Socrates said:
"I know that I am intelligent, because I know that I know nothing."

Amen to that!!!

I don't comment much on subjects I don't know about, but just read them to learn.

However, on your particular topic I happen to be an expert.
