When I was younger, I thought that I was supposed to date people the same as me. But living with my mother, it made me think otherwise. She's always pulling the race card constantly, talking about the same crap over and over.
This made me think that if I married within my race, I'll have to hear the same mess.
Would it be considered self hate if I refused to date or marry within my own race?
I don't think its self hate at all. I date outside my race. I do not hate my self or my race, it's just a preference. Date and marry and enjoy the company of anyone you want!! It's supposed to be a free country, right?

No, it's not self-hate at all. It's not uncommon for people to not be attracted to people of their own race. Never apologize or feel guilty for your preferences.
This man I knew, used to tell his daughter to marry a white guy. She ended up marrying this really pitch black dark skinned dude. He wasn't black, he was purple. And the best thing about it, he is the hardest working, loving husband I've ever known.
congrats on finding a good man, hope the family is open and accepting and loving of the relationship!
