I've never been in love. The longest I've dated someone was 6 months. I broke it off mainly because I didn't care. That's usually how it goes.
I've become very infatuated with people though. It builds slowly; there's no moment where I suddenly feel it. I'd say it usually takes at least 2 months, and I have to be in regular contact with the guy. In most of those situations, it's not someone I am dating either

"Falling in love" is different from "being in love". I "fell in love" with Matt before he asked me out. He was my physio, and we would talk about anything and everything during my appointments. After about 6 months, I realized I had fallen in love with him ... but it took another 6 months before he could actually ask me out, because I was still his patient. After the first few dates, we were both madly in love with each other, and now it's true love for the two of us.
I fell in lust with Travis (the second guy in the threesome) the second I laid eyes on him. And it just got better and better with each passing day. I can honestly say I love him, and that only took about 6 days. Crazy.
