you have to look at the socioeconomics of the study. if you're poor, of a certain race, etc. you are going to have higher rates of a lot of things. Not only AIDS, but promiscuity too. I'm not saying just poor minorities get AIDS but they clearly lead the pack over other groups like...say, rich asians. and after you take out certain factors like gays, heroin users, etc. then your chance of getting AIDS is incredibly small. Even in a cess pool like D.C.

I also read that African Americans make up 14% of the US population but 30% of the AIDS population. I'm like "really guys? Can we do a little better?"
