I met a girl who I perceived as the right one, except we were on different wave lengths on an important issue. That's why I haven't proposed to anyone yet.
For me its private and personal between my fiancee and I so I'll just leave it at that:P
We dated 9 months before I proposed...I knew about halfway in between. There were no games from the beginning with us...we were very open and everything how we felt about each other and everything just fell into place. So I proposed when I was good and ready...the time seems fairly short after knowing her for 9 months but I honestly didn't even think about it because it I just did it based on when I was ready...dunno how else to explain it to be honest. Its different for everyone though

What happened in the relationship that made you know you wanted to marry her and how long had you been dating?
Once you knew you wanted to marry her, how long did it take you to propose?
*just want to get the men talking about love hee hee*
While I have yet to propose to my GF, she did mention a few months ago that she "slipped" and referred to my as husband, and it felt natural. Now, I'm no dummy, I know this is the green light and if I were to propose to her at this very moment she would say yes (barring any unforeseen circumstance, we both know through conversation that it is just a matter of time).
I am not waiting for the right moment, but the best way. I don't want to go down in history as the guy with the most romantic proposal ever, but I do want it to be special.
