Everyone has conditions. You beat a dog it will run away if it can. I don't feed my cat on time and I get bitten! (not a real one but what a cheeky monkey he is)

Anything can be pushed to its conditional limits.

I always think of the child/parent bond. I never though myself I would snap that thing in two but I just hit my limit and like a switch I went to robot mode and really could give a care less about them.

Self preservation is your strongest baser instinct. (sex and hunger are runners up)
You will never be able to escape! You just have to hope the luck of the draw does not push you to your breaking point.

To me, true unconditional love with anyone other than the kids or the dog, is scary business. It can also imply an underlying obsessive trait.

Great post pass the chocolate. And speaking of chocolate I have a unconditional love for it and I think I'll go raid the fridge now for some and chill to a movie.

Yea, my ma... and I would say this goes for the rest of the human family provided the mom is not a user of hard drugs (e.g.,crack).

I have to say in my case this has proven to be true. I never cease to be amazed at how much my parents love me regardless of. . . well, anything.
I'd agree with this. My love for my son is beyond anything I could ever have imagined.
