But, we have to test what people say, becasue sometimes people are the only witnesses to an event. Otherwise why have witnesses in a court of Law? So, there is some value to what people claim they saw.
Except...what we have, the bible, is in no way whatsoever and EYEWITNESS ACCOUNT...now is it?
Of course you can dishonestly claim that it is...but you and I and whole lot of other scholars know that it isn't...which gives it no more value than a court of law would give to hear say.
God, the bible and the "stuff" found therein are true.
When we say something is true, we are saying that we can provide verifiable, objective evidence to show that is true. Now, for some 3000 years, people have been searching for verifiable, objective evidence to support the Bible and, as yet, have been unable to do so. In fact, there is so little evidence that those searching have often lied about or fabricated 'evidence' to convince the gullible that the Bible is true.
As you are making the claim that the Bible is true then I'm assuming that YOU are the only person to have found such verifiable evidence. Well I and I'm sure just about everyone alive is just gagging to see it. So 'go ahead punk...make my day'.

The bible is true on the things that can be verified; like physical locations, city locations, historical events like battles. It is true to titles it gives like "man of the island" in Lukes account. Every historical piece of information that has been tested has been proven correct.
So, on the basis of the overwelming evidence to what is correct, we can trust it on what we cannot test.
Acheologist use the bible as a guide book to the ancient civilizations if this is not proof enough to its historical/archeological value I don't know what is!

The bible is an eyewitness account of the events of the past, written as the events took place! These eyewitness accounts are from Kings to Sheppards to Doctors like Luke.

Oh brother...do you have any clue when the OT was actually written?? Obviously not based on the above.
Luke didn't EYE WITNESS ANYTHING....he admits to that...it is a book filled with hear say. And everyone of the "Gospels" were assigned an author...they have no clue who actually wrote them...this is common knowledge and I find it very difficult to believe that you would spout the above nonsense given that.
I'd ask him "what's with all the millions you have murderer, but I see you have done a very thorough job of teaching your follower that murder, hatred, intolerance and atrocities to defend you name is expected."
The bible is true on the things that can be verified;....
That is not what you said. You made a blanket statement, to wit....
"God, the bible and the "stuff" found therein are true."
Your statement proclaims that what is found in the Bible it true.
Epic fail on your part.

Nope! The author of 'Luke' was not an eye witness to your man-god. He wasn't a follower of Jesus but a follower of Paul. What 'Luke' did was to interview people who claimed to have known your man-god. So sorry but Luke's Gospel is nothing more than hear-say from others.
Same goes for the other three Gospel authors. Apart from the fact that 'Matthew' borrows heavily from 'Mark' (which an "eye witness" wouldn't need to do), there is no claim from the author of 'Matthew' that he was an eye witness.
'Mark'?? Well all he did was write down what Peter told him about Jesus. How did he know that Peter wasn't telling porkies??
The dating for the Gospel of John is around 100-110CE so that definitely wasn't written by any "eye-witness".
So who does that leave with regards to so called "eye-witness reports"? Only Paul I'm afraid...and he wasn't there, never met Jesus and claimed only to have seen Jesus in a dream/vision.
