What is the one thing you wish people from the other side (those holding opposing beliefs from yours) understood? What is the one thing that you feel they really need to know? It is the one thing that if they understood, a lot of other things would fall into place or open up for them. Please explain why you think that one thing would be so pivotal.

That truth in a spiritual sense is subjective. What is true for me does not need to be true for you, and vice versa. And that is OK!

I think if people weren't so threatened by differing opinions, the world would be a much more pleasant place.

I know so many people whose sense of self worth is based on their view of the world being correct. If they realized it only needs to be true for themselves, then they could relax and enjoy life more.

I hope that makes sense...

I wish they would realize that agnostics and atheists can have good ethics without belief in a deity.

That the Bible doesn't condemn 21st Century gays/lesbians and the 5 clobber passages are completely mistranslated by modern day conservatives.

That when I say I "don't believe" in *pick a religion* it really means I don't believe it.

This would do away with all the Moderator cut: deleted from religious people, usually Christians.

If someone could really understand that without thinking "you've been blinded by Satan" or some other such idiocy, it truly would be, dare I say it, a miracle.

I'd be happy if certain folks would simply learn the basics of evolution with an open mind, instead of just reading some paragraphs from an anti-evolution website and assuming they understand it completely.
