Bachmann could hardly be a Democrat with her views.

Well, according to Bachmann she used to be a Democrat but became a Republican for the curious reason that:

*Gore Vidal is a liberal
*a book he wrote offended her
*therefore, she is a Republican!

I guess no conservative has ever written anything she finds offensive ...

"He [Vidal] was kind of mocking the Founding Fathers and I just thought, I just remember reading the book, putting it in my lap, looking out the window and thinking, 'You know what? I don't think I am a Democrat. I must be a Republican.'"
- Michele Bachman

I guess Bachmann sees the Founding Fathers as saints who never did any wrong and must be idolized and revered as perfect, rather than recognized as people with human flaws like... well, like every other human being who has ever existed.

Yep, she is definitely the intellectual heir to George W. Bush!

And not just any Republican, but one of the biggest wingnuts the party has seen in years (and that's saying something)! That's the problem with converts, whether it's politics, religion, sports, bands, or whatever; they're always overcompensating.

Bachmann is the candidate for those who find Sarah Palin too intellectual.

No she could, all she would have to do to be a Democrat would be to join the party. no dogma views required. Whether Democratic Party voters would have allowed her to get as far as she got is another question.

If, you say...

If Barack Obama was a Republican, would all the other pretenders for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination fade away into oblivion?

The 'first dude' would then have the position to have a national "pray away the gay" movement, that way locking in the role as the laugh stock of the entire planet.

But ogling women would be expected, as it proves heterosexuality, as the "male eye" is created by god to appreciate the female form. Ladies, expect your tata's to be stared at, for god so made our eyes.

Which is of course what I was referring to. She wouldn't want to be a Democrat anyway, since her uberconservative views are not at all in congruence with the Democratic party.
