Since Christianity started as an early Jewish sect; Christianity successfully spread around the world and increased its population to 2.2 billion today, while Judaism only has around 14 million members.
How do people feel about this, particularly Jewish? Is there some form of jealously? Don't Jewish people wish they were bigger?
Well, I'm not Jewish, but from what I understand, they could really care less. They are happy in their community. Judaism does not have a call to bring all men to Judaism nor any proselytizing agenda like Christianity and Islam. Probably one of the major reasons I get along better with them than I do the others.

A Muslim answering here. I do not know how a Jew feels. Speaking for myself I have no concern about it.
Jealous? I really don't get it. Is there a contest? I don't think that anyone that is secure in their beliefs really gives much thought to how many people share their beliefs.

Another well-worded response.
It's often very easy to see "agenda" written all over an innocently asked question like that of the OP.

leaving aside the perhaps unintended innuendo of the last line, do I wish there were more Jews? well seeing as there used to be at least 17 million, and that the Jewish population has not made up its losses due to hitler, I would certainly say I wish those people had not been killed - cause their deaths were a tragedy that decimated the Jewish people. As a side consequence, that would mean there would be more. Certainly if we jews enlarge in numbers, there are benefits, like more places where being jewish isnt outlandish.
As for christianity being big though, we are kind of used to it by now. Its not like doubling the number of Jews would really have any impact on the number of christians, so they are really seperate questions. I dont think we want a world where hundreds of millions were jewish - we are told we are a remnant of Jacob, that what matters is not our numbers - a Judaism as a world religion with hundreds of millions would be a very different Judaism and Im not sure Id like it.
