Been studying Hinduism lately. These religions inspire the crap out of me. We are all Hindus. What we do, and the freedom we have online on forums is practicing Hinduism. It's imagery and philosophy just screams create, create, create. Create the deity and take on the spirit. Each and every person online is their own digital deity.
I can't help but notice that Hinduism and ancient Egypt are so incredibly similar. They have the deities of humans with various different animal... heads, and composite deities, along with the different philosophies of the afterlife. Egyptians believed that every Pharaoh was a reincarnation of Horace, the first Pharaoh. That is in link with Tibetan Buddhism, who believe the same thing with the Dali Lama. They are the same religion in that they are all a product of freedom. These religions come from a place where freedom of religion ruled, and they all share a LOT of the same philosophies. These religions are a result of eons of free thinkers, coming from different parts of the world, all in agreement with one another. It's some amazing stuff.
Even Norse and Greek mythologies scream Create, create, create! Be at one with the spirit of Odin and create your own pantheon of digital warrior deities, and wage Ragnarok! Be inspired by the prophecy! Make the prophecy come true! Create the spirit!
A lot of the philosophies agree with Jesus as well. Jesus taught to be at one, in communion with his spirit. By being at one with his spirit, you die spiritually and come back to life. Like any deity that dies and comes back, Jesus represents thespirit of life eternal. Jesus is just one in an infinite amount of spirits to be inspired and guided by. You can give and receive compassion with them.
The internet and these ancient religions are linked in profound ways imo. We are ALL breaking the 2nd commandment by being online in digital form as the digital deity, or Avatar. Moses would have all of us run through for creating the deity, and loving other's. As practicing Hindus/Egyptians/ in union with the God of freedom, we are committing a capitol crime online.
