In videogames the Runestones always represents something magical. The stones have magical powers because of what was written on them. The Norse considered Runestones to be sacred. They deemed the written word as magical and holy. They cherished the written word.
In Ireland, before Christianity took over, there was no written word. You ...cannot fully research the so called "Pagan" religion of the area, because they had nothing written down, pre-Christian. Their religion is forever dead. That is why it was so easy for "st." Patrick to take over. In Ireland Christianity took over in schools, and a campaign of false propaganda was launched against the "Pagan" religions, and forever destroyed all the Gods of that particular pantheon.
But the Norse had the written word. It is because of the written word we have Odin and Thor, fighting the war of the Gods in another spiritual realm.
Ragnarok is a battle that kills Gods, and the Norse religion looks perfectly suited to take out YHWH. It looks perfectly designed to illustrate the Bible's shortcomings in the most remarkable ways. The Norse religion is Odin. He created the deity. And HE is the way. CREATE THE DEITY!!
Everyone says that the Norse were all Viking pirate terrorists. But if you look at the religions, which doctrine is the doctrine of terrorism? I'm not saying they weren't bad in some ways, but I AM saying that their DOCTRINE isn't NEARLY as bad as the Bible. You want to talk about blood thirsty pirates, all the people of the Abrahamics ADORES Moses and damns all his victims to Hell.
