I just want to offer up a prayer for the nation and people of India. The monsoon rains are critical there, as the majority of the people are still agrarian and most are quite poor by our standards. In fact, last I heard there are several hundred million (out of a population of over 1.2 Billion) that are "nutritionally at risk," which is the case with very close to zero people here in the United States.
So the monsoon season typically starts right at the beginning of June. In other words, right now. The prediction is that it is going to be delayed a little bit and it is expected to be weaker than normal this year, which is not good news.

Pray with me, regardless of your religion, that the people of India would get as strong of a monsoon as they can possibly want. The people there are mostly Hindus, with some Muslims and also smaller numbers of other religions, including Christianity.
This has been on my heart and on my mind for a week or so now. Please pray with me for the people of India if you are at all inclined.
