They treat some like 'cases' until they can win them.

Thanks for help.

It's a variation of that old phrase: "He who dies with the most toys wins!"

Here it is: "He who dies with the most souls saved gets to sit closer to the right hand of God."

Some christians want to win the whole world.....others could care less.Years ago I lived in an area where jehovahs witnessess would come by with some frequency. My wife would get all bent out of shape, while I would politely talk to them for 4 or 5 minutes , take their pamphlets and send them on their way.My wife would then get angry at me for being nice to them.I would then patiently explain that they felt they were sharing something that 'in their mind' that was of benefit to me.....and it was silly for me to be angered at someone who was trying to help me.....even if I didn't feel there was any need or benefit to their message.A few minutes of my time every few months wasn't a big deal to me.... and most people in my life haven't subjected me to any great degree to their beliefs, nor are they subjected to mine.

Horse hockey.

They do it because the Lord instructed them to and they're just being faithful to their God. If you don't want them sharing the Gospel with you, just say "No thank you."

I think its only natural. I want to win the whole world for atheism, too.

Have you tried saying "No thank you" to someone who's pushing their religion in your face because they think you need to be "saved?" In my experience, you have to go a little further than that; they don't take "no" for an answer.

I guess if you really truly believed that people would suffer an eternity in some kind of discomfort if they did not accept a given idea... you would feel somewhat inclined to spread that idea rather aggressively?

If you then went one step further and started to think that the existence of people opposed to your idea were actually a threat on the eternal well being of you and your loved ones... you may find your inclination to be somewhat strengthened.
