That's a point. When there is a camera on the scenne, one wonders. Of course photomobiles are there to hand. And I haven't even seen the video
Well I did watch it, and I'd suspect that it was set up to get the gay owner refusing service (1). that was suggested by a Fish "Are you saying you're refusing us service?" I could be wrong but I think it was set up. The owner displayed a pamphlet he said was offensive and told them to leave. When they tried to make a debate out of it. he said shut up and just leave. The remarks he made that so steamed the Christian posters here were solid counters to attempts to start a debate about whether the pamphlet was offensive or not and to get witterring on about Jesus. It looked like he was holding back some of his staff who looked like they proposed to help the exit of the Christians. They did leave in a flurry of dark hellthreats about 'you're going to pay for this" and someone would pray for him.
Really I thought the Christians came off looking worst, and I think it was set up, and though it didn't go their way, they posted it anyway, thinking they had the footage they needed.

I don't need to. We don't have religion like you do. They confine their prosetylization (1a) to the public street where atheists could hold their missionary activities, too, - if we felt the need. We don't; it's doing fine without that.
However, if some lawsuit of the kind does get filed by A/A or FFR, don't complain about it if the result isn't what you like.

Why? What's wrong with giving a discount? I bet you're the type that whines about a tax cut if everyone doesn't get one, don't you?
When someone answers a question without actually answering the question, for me that's what we Buddhists call "wrong speech", which is somewhat analogous to breaking one of the Ten Commandments.

OK? I'm not Buddhist.
But again..the point remains..the assertion was that a discount is wrong. I'm asking why it is wrong? Can you say why?

It's certainly wrong if it doeasn't stand up to logical scrutiny. Tax cuts to some and not to others sounds discriminatory. It's remarkable how many of the more strident of the religious seem to take time out to have a swipe at those who complain about legislation proposed to stuff the overflowing pockets of the Chosen Few at the expense of those who are struggling, presumably as part of God's plan.
BTW - is 'Phet" in any war related to Thai for 'wall or fortress?

You're demanding answers when you have consistently refused to give answers to others people's questions? There must be in the Bible something about hypocrisy.
Getting your repaired shouldn't be a function of whether or not you are a member of a church. Would you approve of a store that charged you 15% more for your groceries because you are a fundamentalist?

No, phet is my screen name refers to spicy hot. Aroi (with a rolling r) = delicious.

No. I wouldn't shop there. But this isn't the point. Would I whine about not getting a discount because I was a part of some other religion? No....not if the price was right and I thought they did a good job.

Well, fair enough. You would call in a plumber of a builder or electrician, and you liked the price and was happy with the work, and when you found out they had knocked 10% off the bill for anyone who was a Mormon or Scientologist, you'd shrug that off.
Good for you. but that's not only not the point which is - even if you had no problem with it, would someone who did, have a case? It's also a bit of a point that just because YOU would have no problem, you apparently suggest that nobody else should. The world does not dance to your tune, old son, but to the music of society and law as a whole.

No. They wouldn't have a case. That's the way the world works. People get "friends" discounts for dropping names, or being connected to people all the time. That's just how things work. No one guaranteed that life would be fair. I'm a big boy and I can handle that.

They were very hateful and unkind, and looked like a bunch of damned fools from what I've seen and read.
