As far as I can see Halloween in modern America is about eating food, putting on a costume and socializing. All the history behind it doesn't change what it is presently. It's kinda a fun day.

Easter and Christmas have Pagan roots; and I don't see that stopping Christians from enjoying those holidays either.
I think it's safe to say that most Christians enjoy Halloween.
I only feel sorry for the children of those Christians who do not. To be set apart from their peers in any way can be very damaging for a child's self esteem.
At my middle school there were always grumblings about the limited things we did for Halloween, although most parents liked it.
My priest brought in Day Of The Dead pastries from the local Mexican bakery to use as props for her sermon, and then we ate them at coffee hour afterward.
ETA: Obviously, we are not an anti-Halloween Church. The gist of the sermon was living our best while knowing that death is an ever-present reality for all humans, so much so that we have things like Halloween and Dia de los Muertos. She also read a good portion of MLK's 'Mountaintop" speech from the night before his death.
I'm okay with Halloween too. What's truly scary is narrow-minded people getting scared and trying to stop Halloween activities for fear of instant satanic corruption of children. These folks are afraid of their own shadow, and think the rustling of the wind is the devil running near them LOL. And yet they think they know what's best for everyone else.
Halloween has as much to do with the devil as CHRISTmas has to do with CHRIST
