Quite so my dear old beast. I have said it for yonks...WHAT SACRIFICE. There is no sacrifice when you know that nothing serious is going to happen to you and within a day you are going to be as right as rain. Hundreds of thousands of men went off to two world wars last century knowing that they were unlikely to be coming back. Now THAT is a sacrifice. Thousands of men, and my old neighbour was one, suffered infinitely more pain and suffering ( for 4 years not an afternoon) in Japanese POW camps than the Jesus character ever suffered.
