Official results show that once again attendance is down at the creationist Ark Encounter for August, the second month in a row.

How do we know this as a fact? The local government assesses a .50 fee per admission to fund fire and other safety issues to all facilities. The report of August is in the above link.

Many of us atheists are not surprised. For you fundamentalists out there, try some thoughts and prayers.

2017:
July: 142,626 (Safety Fee amount: $71,313.00)
August: 106,161 ($53,080.50)

2018:

July: 135,922 ($67,961.00)
August: 98,106 ($49,053.00)

Imagine all the good the some $100 million it took in public and Ham fisted fund raising could have done, say, in Haiti. Just imagine.

Imagine all the good it did for the community right where it is. But hey...when an angry atheist decides it's not worth it, doesn't much matter what anyone else thinks, does it?

Personally, I'm thinking I'll be making a trip there next summer..possibly with a group from my church.

Why don't you tell us all the good it did for that community? Go ahead, because I will show you numerous articles where the community feels it has been duped, snowed, and mislead. By a christian.

Angry atheist? Who would that be, why and how? Does the truth hurt?

If faithiests want to convert us, you guys really need to work on your delivery. Insult proselytizing doesn't work too well. "Hey, there's no such thing as God. The invisible man in the sky is a myth, you ignorant moron"-signed most faithiests everywhere.

Pardon the phraseology, but pray tell where anywhere in my OP did I make such statements? You're seeing things that are not there.

Hundreds of thousands of people are going to it. It serves the public. Those same people are likely spending money in the area, benefiting businesses. But hey..you've made a judgment that it's not worthy. Thankfully, your opinion is not the one that matters here.

You. The guy whining about a cause you don't approve of getting a tax cut.

I'm active in my church and can certainly invite other people to go on a trip. I have in the past organized activities.

Most businesses are not getting any benefit from the location. It is off the beaten track, and has not benefited the community as advertised.

Why should a commercial enterprise get a tax cut???? Any kind of commercial enterprise?? Why should the public purse pick winners and losers?

At least as far as YOU think.

It's not a commercial enterprise. It's a ministry. AIG is a ministry.

In any event, any community can choose to give a tax cut to whatever business they want. Google got a tax cut when it relocated to one city a few years ago. Because the city wanted them there.

Yes, good outstanding moral citizen.

Guess what? He had to reverse that deal, as he would lose many tax benefits. The guy is slimier than Trump and his familia.
