They don't give any empirical evidence to back up their claims, only testimonials which are subjective and aren't credible because there are many people who don't have NDE and people who have NDE with different gods and afterlifes like Allah or Kali. The only reason he even saw 'heaven' and 'hell' in his NDE was because of his environmental surroundings of Christianity. If he was born in the Middle East he would have had a NDE with the Muslim afterlife.
I agree with agnostic soldier, what one sees when suposidly dead are what they are inculcated with in life. Personally I don't believe in life after death, the Bible says death is nothingness, that the soul itself dies, and this makes sense for the punishment for sin is death. It is through the resurrection to come that the dead will live again, not in instant spirit rebirth.

If you recall when Jesus was on the cross, the theif asked Jesus to remember him. Jesus told the theif, (THIS DAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARASDISE). Without question, the Bible tells us that (our spirit) will live on, and our (human body) will be resurrected latter when Christ returns. Our human body only houses our Spirit, yet our Spirit lives on after the body dies.
..makes precisely as much sense as "life before life."
