Is death evil?
Or do Christians believe that death also is an instrument of the devil?

If you don't believe in God and the devil just concentrate on death and evil.
So, is death evil?

No. Everything living dies. It's natural.

When Jesus rose from the dead, he defeated satan and death became no longer a source of fear or dread. Christ over came death and Christians will too. Because of Jesus we have hope beyond the grave.

True, If you were a Christian I'd ask you why God would not get rid of death 1st.
But since you are an atheist I'll just ask you if (being) evil is natural.

Why Doesn't God Just Get Rid Of The Devil?

Why doesn't the Lord just get rid of the Devil now? Because the closing of the age has not happen yet and the great white throne judgment has not happen either. After the great white throne judgment has been completed all unregenerated persons will be cast into the lake of fire and that is where Satan will end up.

God is giving man the time to live for Him, or to serve the Devil. In the end, all those who have opposed God will finally join the devil in Hell, and together, they will have all eternity to think about how they wasted their lives.

why don't we just get rid of the evil around us?
when you get rid of all the evil people, it gets lonely.
i guess for the same reason you didnt' kick your 40 year old
son out, you were hoping he would turn it around.

Well, yes, but that doesn't make it right. Tobacco is natural and medicine isn't. Natural/unnatural and evil/good have no effect on one another.
