One of the stations here in Portland started playing nonstop Christmas music on November 11th. Ridiculous. I emailed them of my displeasure but they don't care.
I can bet on my bum cheeks that Jesus isn't a big fan either.
Each time I turn the radio or tv on, the very sound freaks me out. Should I hibernate?
The radio in my vehicle is OFF until 12/26 at the earliest.
It is not a problem while I am shopping, for Amazon.com does not pipe music through their pages.
My server has thousands of songs I do like and I stream them frequently to other devices in my home. The only christmas song on the server is;

I got an email from Sirius/XM a few days ago telling me which of their stations would be playing Christmas music, and I emailed them back asking which ones would NOT be playing it. LOL (I haven't heard back from them yet).
Personally, it's a love-hate relationship. On the love side, you get to hear songs recorded by people like Nat King Cole, Mel Torme, Rosemary Clooney, and other incredibly great singers, and on the hate side IT'S SOOOOOOO REPETITIVE and frankly the subject matter does not thrill me. I swear, I love Andy Williams, but if I hear one more pa-rum-pa-tum-tum from him, I'm going to scream.
This is the time of year that I listen to a lot of CDs in my car and since I don't buy Christmas presents, I am lucky that the only time I have to suffer through the music is when I am grocery shopping.
I'm hoping December goes as quick as the summer did.

Hibernate for sure! Xmas music really doesn't bother me at all any more but for several years in a row (after my mom's death -- it reminded me of her) I could NOT listen to it, ugh. I pretty much just stayed under the radar, it wasn't a big deal. In and out of stores fast, and shopping less often in general except groceries; scaled down my "obligations" (ho-ho cheerio parties) to a bare minimum, changed the station when I was driving. Etc.
