Those who exist at a higher level need no book. They simply experience God within.
Well said.

Do you not realize that the bible has not always been around in its current form and is nothing but a collection of writings compiled as to the wishes of a few elite?

Yeah. And from what I understand, there were lots of books that "the guys" decided were not "inspired" by god. How did they know? And I also heard that there were some things dealing with women that were removed or excluded because they possibly threatened the men's authorithy in some way.

Exactly. Whatever did not agree with their personal beliefs were not included. People can clearly see many of the books that were not included. Yet, they still cling to this belief that the book is divinely inspired. If that were the case, then any and every book is divinely inspired.

Glorifying God and His revealed books

Man has to respect the book of God: the Torah, the Gospel and the Quran.

Respecting the book of God is in fact the respecting and glorification of God Who revealed these books to guide humanity to the light of God and save them from the darkness of ignorance and idolatry.

This is in the Quran 3: 2-4

The explanation:
(God! There is no god save Him [alone], the Alive [Who dies not], the Disposer [in the affairs of the universe and creatures.]

He revealed to you [Mohammed] the Scripture [: the Quran] including the true [religion], confirming that by his hands;

and He revealed the Torah [of Moses] and the Gospel [of Jesus] before [the revelation of the Quran], to guide mankind, and He revealed the 'Furqan' [or the 'Sundries': the ayat revealed in discrete way.]

Surely, those who unbelieve in the revelations of God, for them will be severe torment; surely, God is Mighty and Avenging.)
--------------------------------------------------------

But the idolatry, in which the followers of these religions have fallen, is:
>> to glorify their prophets and righteous men, and so they have considered them like associates with God,

>> and the idolatry is to worship and sanctify their graves and shrines which have become like idols.

>> In addition to taking statues and images of the Christ and his mother and the drawings of Prophet Mohammed and Imam Ali and his sons.

To explain this, the late interpreter Mohammed-Ali Hassan Al-Hilly said:
"The mosques are the houses of God's worshipping, while the shrines are the graves of the servants;

therefore glorifying the mosques is the glorification of God Almighty, while glorifying the shrines is the glorification of the servants."

Oh yes, good ole Constantine was a clever dude! But, look at the concept presented in that verse. If there is a God, wouldn't this be the perfect way to communicate with its creation? Kinda like BlueFly said. To me, inspiration is where I find it, no matter where it comes from.

Grace & Peace, John
