How Accurately Does The R&P Forum Represent Religious Attitudes In America?
Could a being from another planet get a fair assessment of America's religious attitudes by reading the threads and posts?

Judging from some of the posts here, beings from other planets have already arrived and are actively posting on the R&P forum, and elsewhere on CD.

The beings from Zontar can clearly see that for the most part, we are a very stubborn assortment. Yielding is not necessary. No particular religion has a chokehold on the globe, although, at times, the delusions, and aggressions of some believers have caused way too much trouble.

I'm sure they think we're all abunch of freaks who have no idea what the heck we're doing or where we're going. Of course, the ones I read messages from Love us and help us so they know how backwards we really are.

I personally think that there's a much higher percentage of atheists and agnostics on this forum than in society in general. In America the percentage of atheists is really very small but on the R&P forum we seem to make up about half of the members although I've never tried to add it all up. From my point of view I don't know more than a couple of atheists so I tend to try to talk to people who share my point of view on the internet.

One may ask, why should this WORLD WIDE web forum be representative of America to begin with? But at any rate, atheist are a fairly silent minority in most of America, in my opinion, whereas they are more vocal here.
