A Waltham-based group that has been chronicling the US clergy sex scandal unveiled today the names of 60 to 70 accused priests it says were either born in Ireland or are of Irish descent who came to the United States and re-offended.

I was SURE this would somehow be tied into Islam when I opened it.

But still, 60 or 70 Irish priests of out how many thousands of priests there must be in the US? I don't see the connection.

I dont see the connection either, are you saying that because they were Irish they were involved in the sex scandal? hope not.

The fact that the hierarchy would even send even ONE priest that they knew to be a sex abuser to another country is horrifying

I will admit I didnt read the article, but the title kind of reads that way, " Irish Connection"

I am half Irish.

Horrifying, but it makes perfect sence to move such clergy around on the QT.

Can't have the authority of clergy questioned in the least, or they loose their power over the flock.

Could it be that they are trying to make a connection to this, it might be a good idea to read the articles before responding.
