not a bad idea but the landlord's response to that would have been the same as when i told him of the problem--there's nothing wrong with it (which is true to the extent that it cools the food just fine)

the landlords wife suggested just de icing it every so often by pulling the plug but that is a lot of work for me and if too much time passes the super has to help me and they are tired of it

the landlord also knows this is probably an old unit and who knows this could have been put in my apartment at an earlier point as a refurb for a previous tenant
