I couldn't agree more and don't see any need for any sort of a subsection. This forum is very clearly all about basic landlord/tenant issues, the state landlord tenant laws have either been linked in the first "sticky" on this forum or are easily researched. A tenant/renter is subject to a lease with a landlord and both contractual agreements are dependent on state and federal laws and to which tenants/renters are directed when in doubt. I don't see the point.

The original post was from 2007, before Renting had its own sub forum. Someone dragged it up and responded 5 years later! It no longer applys in 2012......

I don't know why this got bumped, but the original poll was from 5 years ago, before this subsection existed, so at the time it was a valid question. Not so much now.

Good grief! I'm usually so meticulous about checking dates but this one "caught" me! This is a thread which should definitely be closed.
