While there are a lot of forums here, already, there doesn't seem to be a good place to discuss the unique issues facing apartment or house renters.

Judging by the lack of votes, I wonder if this is the right place to ask this question. Or maybe there's just no interest at all in Renter's issues.

Thanks to those who respond and/or vote.

Default Yes

I agree there should be a renters forum................however there are two sides to every story and i think landlord/renter forum would be more appropriate............

Yes, that's a good idea. Landlord/Renter sounds good.

That could be a volatile combination, though.

I've never had a problem with any of my landlords, though. There are other rental issues I'd like to discuss, but I never know where to post them.

Would it make sense to have renters forum as a subforum of House?

I think people would like a LL/Tenant formum, but as part of the General Forumns, not a subforum to House. Looking down the list of Formum, I think it would fit right in.

If there is another place to post the poll so more readers of the General Forums see it, I'd bet more reponses would be had.

Question New to it...

I may be wrong in assuming that a question asked is alright to answer... I just joined up and I've responded to renters who are moving into the area in which I live and work. I am a real estate agent by trade, and offered any assistance to those with questions I felt I could help those folks answer, but is that out of bounds here as it stands? If so, why wouldn't my credentials as a real estate guy be allowed to answer any questions about real estate issues to the inquiring public? If it's crossing the line of acceptable communications as perscribed by the webmaster then so be it. I understand and will abide, but if not, why do you suggest an independant forum that may be better than what is available currently if questions are asked and responses are given... for renters or otherwise serious folks who are just looking for honest opinions...

What's wrong with the "renting" forum? Why can't renters' issues be discussed here? What do you see as being so different?
