This reminds me of a guy who keeps hitting on you to try to deflect you from realizing he has no answers when put on the spot.
Instead of answering questions, or facing reality he flirts to attempt to distract. I tried to help a guy like that study for a licensing class once. He had a total mental block. I was trying to help him memorize. He just couldn't do it. Whenever I forced him to think, he'd ask me to go take a walk along the lake with him. It was pathetic.
He was shortly removed from the class.
I think this is why West lives in the basement of his mom's house...he's can face reality. Pathetic indeed.
