I have to ask because there have been multiple times where Verizon and AT&T failed to cancel an order or messed up an order and I have to fix it on my credit report. Anyway..I just wondered because I think that kinda thing should carry heavy consequences for the company because it does for the consumer usually. Doesn't it? I cant believe all the old crap and mistakes I have to take off my credit report when I cleaned it up for the first time.

I had an AT&T nightmare a couple of years ago. I even had the RECEIPT and the credit card verification number and they still claimed a previous account bill hadn't been paid. I probably SHOULD check my credit to see if that thing is on there.

It is important because it is an indicator as to how you pay your bills.

Not saying it would be grounds not to rent to you by itself.

When you fill out the application, I would mention the outstanding problem with your phone bill and have some documentation of what you have done to correct it.

Credit Bureaus allow individuals to add a brief note to their file explaining derogatory items.

When I'm alerted ahead of time, I know what to expect... no one likes surprises.

I've rented to people that told me prior to applying they had gone through bankruptcy... I ran their credit report and it was exactly as stated... no surprises and his explanation of medical bills was verified.
