I noticed on cars.com several Saturn models received ex reviews. I bet you can get great deals on used Saturns.

The Saturn Sky was a nice Roadster IMO

Near the end as they were bringing over European models like the Astra they were just starting to get interesting. Since it was just a single model year sourced out of Europe finding parts may be tricky/expensive though.

The Vue with the Honda v6 wouldn't be a bad budget pick up.

I *still* have a Saturn, which I am about to unload since it is *so old* I have not put much work into it recently. I actually had never considered a Saturn until it was pretty much my only option of a vehicle...

It is my understanding that they *could not compete* with similar models (Honda, Toyota) because of price.

I will miss the body (anti-dent, anti rust) of the Saturn - it still looks pretty good despite it's age. Plus, a lady ran into my car in a parking lot a couple months ago and didn't cause any damage. Boy, was she happy when I told her my car was fine, it just bounced back!

Also, and this may be a small thing, but I find the seats to be really comfy. They are just standard "bucket seats" but somehow they work well for me.

I'm sorry they don't make them anymore, I would consider them if they did! I guess I discovered Saturn too late

My mom had a 1995 SL2. Great car, until a few years ago when somebody ran into it and totaled it while it was parked in front of her house

We've had 3 different SL models, and they have been great. Our current 2002 SL1 has 200,000 miles on it and still runs smoothly as silk. My wife upset me as we managed earlier this year to get a mint-shape 2004 Saturn ion on the cheap and only 2 weeks later she wrecked it in an accident which was her fault. It's been 4 months and it still upsets me when I think about it.

The SLs were great! They shared nothing with other GM cars. There toward the end the Saturns were just rebadged Chevys.

The Saturn dealer network adopted a "no haggle" pricing strategy, from the outset. But the early Saturns were unique, unlike most other GM offerings, so it worked, even though competitors could usually be had at a discount.

Once Saturn became clones of other GM cars, they lost their uniqueness. Pretty tough to sell a rebadged Chevy at a non-negotiable price.

I had an L300 as a rental once on a long trip where I was doing a lot of driving and I thought it drove well and overall was a good car. My friend has an Ion Redline and loved that thing. Pretty quick. That was replaced by the Astra which was a rebadged Euro Opel which was solid car with excellent hatch utility and pretty fun to drive.
