^Company websites are just marketing fronts. I know as that is what I do in my line of work. Actual benefits of a service are best seen by user reviews. Hence the post here.

I was a member briefly - for a year? - and didn't renew. To me, the only real positive was being able to get discounts ... but my AAA membership (and other organizational memberships) provide similar discounts. And once I eliminated discounts from the equation, there wasn't enough left to justify the dues, nor the degree to which I found AARP to be annoying.
