I'm 22...and I think I'm just about done. You know, the rat race, it can take a lot out of you. The daily grind. The constant keeping up with the Jones'es...man, it's exhausting!

So, I've decided to retire early and let the rest of humanity gain all the material wealth they need. As for me, as soon as I get the following things, I'll be done..

1) A farm
2) An airplane.
3) A farm (in africa).

Yup, that's pretty much it.

I plan to spend my days travelling, indulging in a certain magical substance, researching, maybe pursuing a Ph.D very, very slowly. Might write a few books as well. I'm sure having children will also take a lot out of me...but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

And taking life one day at a time.

So, comments? Suggestions? Advice?

Plan working a long time before you can get what you want and indulging in a certain magical substance will likely interfere with achieving your goals.

I know, I haven't indulged in way too long.

Probably the thing I'm looking forward to the most after working for 40 years.

So you've been working for 40 years and are 22? Cool, it isn't everyday you meet someone who started working around the time his mother was born. That's what I call planning ahead!

You're a smart and funny guy at age 22 (I know you meant 52 or 62) and still want to have children at that age!
Anyway, enjoy your retirement!

I bought a farm @ age 28... That is not part of a sustainable 'retirement' plan, but you won't have to wonder what to do tomorrow, or the next day / yr / decade...

2 farms... I know several Canadians who farm in Northern and Southern hemispheres. That will not make you any younger, good idea to start at age 22 !

Good luck, and have fun.

Are you related to Wade Davis, the author/ethnobotanist who researched zombies and other "magic powders?"
