I certainly hope so. My grandmother as well as my great-grandmother both suffered from dementia. It's a very sad thing to see them suffer through. I worry about my parents getting affected with this one day...

I can't be specific at this point. I have, however, read several articles in the Wall Street Journal in the past several years that discussed the relevant drugs and drug research at length. There seems to be good reason to be optimistic for a cure while we're still very much alive.

Alzheimer's is a cash cow, like cancer and heart disease, for the medical industry. There will be no preventative care/cure, only increased pharmaceuticals - good for that industry.
