I'm with the son. Sorry, guys, but I hope that my daughter would file a lawsuit on my behalf if she came across the described photo. My daughter would know that pre-dementia, I would have been horrified to have a stripper publicly shove his junk in my face.

Now if this were my father - no problem. He'd probably enjoy not only the act, but the attention as well.

I should add that apparently this lady is partially demented and still has moments of clarity. How would you like to wake up one morning after getting drunk and realizing that you committed a shameful act. Same thing here.

Although I understand the concern, I don't think it was grounds for a lawsuit.

However, unless one of the nursing home residents herself booked the "stripper" as part of a celebration (such as someone's birthday) . . . and everyone in attendance was an invited guest and was cognizant enough to have some fun with the event . . . then I think it was totally inappropriate as far as an event sponsored by the nursing home itself.

I would make a formal complaint to the governing body that can review the nursing home's activity plan for residents and I would be making a formal complaint to the Administrator of the home, as well (if this were part of the "activity plan" for the nursing home).

An investigation is definitely in order if this were an activity sponsored by the nursing home. Who paid for the stripper? Why did grandma have dollar bills available when each resident's "petty cash" is supposed to be kept safely accounted for and distributed only on request for specific items?

These questions are appropriate but a lawsuit is a little over the top.

If one does not like the way a nursing home is being run, authorities/governing bodies should be contacted for an investigation and possible citations. And the next thing is to look into moving grandma out of that facility.

I assume you mean your dad back in the day as the younger stripper and not the elderly patient? There were male residents in the picture.

Gee, I wonder if they asked Grandma how she felt about this before they filed the lawsuit?

Didn't the residents all vote and pay for said event?

Good point. I meant a male-female reversal; old Dad, young female stripper.

That said, I know a few senior lesbians who would not be comfortable having a guy's junk in her face either.

This senior center is one of the more progressive homes and has had some blood churning field trips all the times.
Mostly for men, some trips to the local Hooters for a lunch and beer.

Apparently a senior woman in the home complained "why things for just men?".

So the home scheduled a male stripper for the ladies
From what I heard the senior women loved it. joking , smiling , even some dollar bills in g-strings

It was some of their kids having trouble with it.
Guess they couldn't take the idea that gramdma actually had fun feelings
More of a case of the kids deciding what mom/grandma should be exposed to in their later life.
