I do. And today's my 14th Anniversary. I chose the first day of Summer as my retirement date back in 2003 when I was 50 years old.

It's a date etched in my memory the same as my birthday and wedding anniversary.

I do since it was my birthday. Kind of hard to forget.

I don't celebrate many holidays and for sure not the retirement, but I remember how it happened at 63. I was not ready for it and had to push myself in other directions to make up for the lost salary from the profession I was in.

I am retiring (ad nauseum) 12-23-17 and this is my Christmas present to myself. I will be having a small celebration with husband and son.

Agree! I tried to rep Minerva but got the usual dread "must spread it around" message.
