Since I retired I have become much more intellectually curious. I now want to know about everything. My interest and knowledge of varied topics continues to grow. I spend hours in the library. Read lots of books and spend hours googling topics to learn about them.

When I was working my only real interest was my job and family. I was shallow.

Can you relate?

With more time and less stress, most of us would definitely learn more. Great conversation.

Unfortunately not. I used to read a lot but not now. I need to throw away my iPad.

I read on my IPad! Constantly.

I've always been curious. And you can find answers to so many questions online, so there is no reason not to ask Google.

I have a blog reader app where I keep blogs dealing with all of my interests: fashion, archaeology, politics, religion, cooking, crafts, sewing, genetics, media reviews and aging issues. I also check out Snopes to see what latest urban myths or fake news stories are circulating.

But in the evenings I read a book. And I also belong to a book club.

I really do not consider my intellectual curiosity much different than it was before.

I've always been curious. The older I get, the more I realize that I have a lot more to learn.

The internet makes it much easier. Now that I don't need to work, I also have time.

We're living in a great era.

I have serious books that I bought before I retired and hoping to read them in retirement. I read stuff on the internet too, but I don't feel intellectually satisfy. I'm a book person. Not iPad person.

I take an average of 8 semester long courses very year. Those include museum and art gallery trips. I am also doing a lot of my own artwork, initially photography but now painting as well.

I can totally relate. I have been studying genetics and evolution the last couple of years. Fascinating stuff. Investing has piqued my interest in financial economics theory so I have been studying that also. I was a research physicist in my 30's so I have been catching up on what is going on in that area. Tons of stuff to pursue. It is like being a kid in a candy store, all the time in the world, no responsibilities!

Download the Kindle app for your ipad and then download lots of free books.

Or get them from your library to your ipad. They can do that too.

I attended uni classes for about 6 years after I retired. I used the gibill and just went to school. I already had a degree, so this was for fun.
