I'm 32. I was coming home this evening, and looked at my stubble in the mirror. One silvery white whisker! It really stood out.
I've never worn a beard. I've always been mostly military clean shaven. I don't have much hair left on the top of my head, and keep the hair I do have uniformly buzzed. Aside from my pudge, I look like a Marine. I've never noticed any actual white or grey hair on my head. I've had a long, bright white eyebrow hair that I've tweezered out for years.
Early greying runs on my dad's side of the family and I was the only one of the 3 kids "lucky" enough to inherit that from him
I noticed my first grey when I was 17 and was significantly grey by the time I was 35. At 48 I am 85% grey but keep it dyed its natural light reddish brown. I'm just not ready for grey yet, or at least that much grey
DH will be 60 in September and is mostly silver but didn't really get there until 55 or so. Still has a full head of hair though.
probably in my forties but I colored my hair back then, after I stopped coloring it it was growing out mostly white with a bit darker gray in the back. Now more of the gray is coming out white. It took a while for the color to grow out as my hair was shoulder length or longer back then, I did remove as much of the color as I could. finally with cutting it as I went along it got to be so it was white without any other color at the ends.
I am a female By the way.

When did you start noticing the grey?
Early 60s. Not grey but silver like my dad. Lots of it now but it doesn't look bad so I'll keep it.
Probably got my first gray hair in my 50s. Now at 70 I am still 50/50 black and white. My first cousin on the other hand was totally white at 35. She looked really nice. But when she had to look for a new job, she dyed it so people wouldn't think she looked older than she was.
My mother was salt and pepper in her late 30s. That was back when many women were frosting their hair. People used to ask where she had it done.
When you start going gray and how long you still keep some hair of your original color is very variable.
First noticeable gray (the "distinguished look" at the temples) in early to mid 40s, salt and pepper nearly all over by 50, now 5 months until my 60th I have about a 1.5" band of fully dark hair at the back of my neck and the rest of it is completely gray. I had a stylist ask me if the band is natural or if I had low lights done. It's kind of odd, but I have seen it on other guys.
EDIT - I had an earlier color change from very light brown to dark brown that was almost black. That happened in my 30s. The aforementioned band of dark hair is pretty much black.
Found my first gray hair at 24. Just a stray. I didn't really start going noticeably gray until a few years ago, late 50's. I still look brunette from a distance now, almost 62. I never colored my hair. My sister, who is older than me, started going gray in her early 50's and colors it with some awful Just for Men type stuff. I think she looks better gray.
