I see a lot of posts asking about the best paces to live. I am looking for the best kept secret.
My daughter will soon be working at Brown while attending Providence College. We're desperately looking for a decent studio or 1 bedroom apartment in a SAFE and AFFORDABLE area. Does such a place exist? She wants to live right in Providence; I am wondering if it might be worth it to travel 10-15 to a burb.
Any help suggestions be greatly appreciated!
Affordable is hard to come by anywhere and there are no "best kept secrets" but I'd have her look right near PC which is essentially a semi suburban neighborhood. Elmhurst is one name to look for.
Thanks for the info. She is entering a contining education program (post-bacc.) Do you have any suggestions for affordable living? (She's hoping to get a RA position at Brown so affordability is right up there on the list with a safe neighborhood.)
Seems to me the only 'best kept secret' neighborhoods in the area, might be Darlington neighborhood in Pawtucket, and Pawtuxet Village on the Warwick, Cranston line. Either not in Prov, but in close commute of it. Please note Pawtucket & Pawtuxet are not the same.
