For those out of the loop it was supposed to a 167,000 square foot family center/gym in Tiverton RI.

I was incredibly excited for it because it might have provided a place to run sprints during the winter, or maybe take part in a rec league.

It was said to open numerous times over the past couple of years, but never did, and the reason always given was "unforseen circumstances."

And the last reporting on it said it would be open this past summer and then poof radio silence. The phone line to the building just rings and rings. Does anyone have the inside scoop?

They posted in November that the road is done and offered more updates on the courts.

Sports complex, ‘a giant playground,’ nears completion in Tiverton

“We are almost there,” said Jim Long, the owner and developer of Longplex. “My courts will be ready in one week. “We will start scheduling our fields at the beginning of January. Everything will be ready in the spring.” Longplex, one of the largest indoor sports complexes in New England, will be up and running by summer in its home at 300 Industrial Way.

Sounds like the Tiverton area is landing a great physical fitness amenity. Tiverton & Little Compton are really hidden gems. This can only add to the appeal.
