My husband is taking a job in Essex, CT and commuting from Providence, RI. Does anyone know of train, bus etc that will be less stressful than driving? Has anyone ever done this drive and how is the commute?
He's really set himself up for along commute. I once commuted from Warwick to New London and that was a good 40-5 min. He could be looking at 1.5 to 2 hrs driving, traffic dependent.
Bus & trains go through Old Saybrook so he'd have to commute from there- either Amtrak or bus so that would add maybe another 1/2 hr.
It also depends where he is living in Prov- north or south? How long to I95?
