Hey Roanoke friends! I miss you!!.. I am planning a get together type of reunion for all of my fellow past co-workers at Ukrop's and was wondering if anyone of you guys knew of a low cost place I could rent out for our fun evening of getting together and laughing since its been a while since I've last seen them and we were like a big family If you have any ideas or think you could help me find a reasonable place because I am definatly on a tight budget.

Thanks so much in advanced!
Teebyrd

How many people are you expecting to be in attendance?

I recently heard of something called Groupons. I'm not sure how it works but if you have a group of people you supposedly get a large discount. You may want to just google it and see what you find out.

maybe try somewhere in Grandin Village, or Corned Beef down town.. I mean, if your just planning a meet up and dinner.. just do a group reservation at a larger restaurant, carabas would be fun. How about Zaxbies in Salem, I love that place! but seriously, group reservation at a restaurant. call it a day. but that's just my professional opinion (Working in events for 10 years)

Default Low cost alternative for a group

The Taipei Restaurant on Melrose Ave has a large group room in back of the main dining room. It is across from the old Roanoke-Salem Plaza. I am sure you will be given a very low rate.

If people like chinese Taipai would be a good choice, their food is fab.

The Roanoker has a couple of party rooms. I have heard that Famous Anthony's on 460 does too.

I can't imagine that any of these places would charge you for the room if you are ordering food and drink from them.

Montano's has a room that seats about 40. You remember where that is, right? Just down the street from the Ukrops store.
